1. What This Policy Covers
This Policy explains how Pattern Pony uses cookies and similar technologies on the Platform. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle the information these technologies collect.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Pattern Pony also uses similar browser and measurement technologies, which this Policy addresses together:
- Local storage and session storage — data stored by your browser for a site;
- Measurement scripts and requests — technologies that collect performance, usage, and error information; and
- SDKs — code libraries that provide authentication, payments, monitoring, and related functions.
Session technologies expire when you close your browser; persistent technologies remain until they expire or are deleted. First-party technologies are set by Pattern Pony; third-party technologies are set by our service providers.
2. Categories We Use
The Platform currently uses the following categories:
- Strictly necessary / authentication. Supabase authentication stores session information in your browser so you can remain signed in. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on its hosted checkout and customer-portal pages for payments, security, and fraud prevention.
- Security. Helping detect fraud, abuse, and suspicious activity, and protecting Accounts and infrastructure.
- Preferences / functionality. Local storage may retain Account details and local copies of Patterns, Shows, Templates, Marketplace information, and other settings so the Platform works the way you left it. Session storage is used for temporary signup and checkout state.
- Analytics / performance. Vercel Speed Insights, Sentry, and internal measurements help us understand performance, feature use, and errors. These tools may collect device, request, performance, and diagnostic information through scripts, network requests, or similar technologies.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell information collected through cookies, and we do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Third-Party Providers
Service providers that support these technologies currently include:
- Stripe — payment processing, billing, security, and fraud prevention. Stripe technologies are generally used on Stripe-hosted checkout and customer-portal pages;
- Supabase — authentication, session management, database, and file-storage services. The current browser client persists authentication sessions in local storage;
- Vercel — hosting and Speed Insights performance measurement; and
- Sentry — error reporting and diagnostic monitoring when enabled.
Each provider's own privacy policy governs its practices. We review this list periodically, but providers and their technologies can change between updates to this Policy.
4. Your Choices
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies, local storage, session storage, and other site data. Instructions are in your browser's help documentation. Blocking or deleting necessary authentication or storage technologies may sign you out, remove locally retained work or preferences, interrupt checkout, or prevent parts of the Platform from functioning.
- No advertising preference tool. Pattern Pony does not currently use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or use information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so it does not currently provide a separate advertising-cookie preference tool.
5. Changes and Questions
We may update this Policy as our technologies and providers change, with notice of material changes as appropriate or required by law. Questions: legal@patternpony.com.
