1. Overview
Pattern Pony is a paid, membership-based service. This Policy explains how Subscriptions, billing, renewals, cancellations, and related matters work. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service, and capitalized terms have the meanings given there. Pattern Pony is currently offered in the United States only.
The only financial transactions on Pattern Pony today are Subscription payments. The Marketplace does not process purchases, sales, or payments between Members.
2. Plans and Pricing
Pattern Pony offers one Membership with the same features under two billing options: $10 per month or $100 per year. The prices and terms presented at checkout by Stripe are the authoritative source for what you will be charged; in-app plan descriptions are summaries. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars.
3. Payment Processing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment information is collected and handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy; Pattern Pony does not store full payment-card numbers. You must provide a valid payment method you are authorized to use and keep your billing information current. Subscriptions for Members under the age of majority must be purchased and authorized by a parent or legal guardian, as described in the Terms of Service.
4. Recurring Billing Authorization
By starting a Subscription, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method the applicable Subscription fee, plus any applicable taxes, automatically at the start of each billing period, on a recurring basis, until you cancel. If your billing details change or a charge requires reauthorization, we or our processor may take reasonable steps to update or retry your payment method.
5. Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your billing option unless you cancel before the renewal date. Renewal dates are based on the date your Subscription began or your most recent billing-option change.
If you switch between monthly and annual billing through the Stripe customer portal, the change takes effect immediately. Stripe resets your billing cycle to the change date and calculates prorations that may credit unused prepaid time and charge the amount due for the new billing option. Changing billing options does not change your Membership features.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal in your account settings. You may also email memberships@patternpony.com to request cancellation or Account closure. We will process email requests as promptly as reasonably possible and confirm when the requested action has been completed. The customer portal is the fastest way to cancel before an upcoming renewal.
Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period. After you cancel, your access to paid features continues through the end of your current paid billing period, and your Subscription then ends. There is no proration or refund for the remaining time in a cancelled billing period.

7. Refunds
Payments are generally non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, unused features, or downgraded access, except where required by applicable law or expressly granted by Pattern Pony in its discretion. If we grant a refund or credit in one instance, we are not obligated to do so again.
One exception: if Pattern Pony permanently discontinues the entire paid service, we will provide a pro-rata refund of prepaid, unused Subscription fees for the remainder of your current billing period. This exception applies only to a complete, permanent shutdown of the Services — not to cancellation by you, suspension or termination of your Account for violations or nonpayment, or changes to individual features.
8. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge according to the retry and revenue-recovery settings then configured for Pattern Pony's Stripe account. The timing and number of attempts can vary based on those settings and the reason for the failure. Stripe or Pattern Pony may notify you and give you an opportunity to update your payment method. If payment is not completed, we may suspend or terminate your Subscription and access to paid features. You remain responsible for amounts owed for periods in which you had access.
9. Taxes
Prices may exclude taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Pattern Pony monitors its potential U.S. tax-registration obligations and, after registering where required, uses Stripe Tax to calculate and collect applicable sales or similar taxes based on the billing address you provide. You are responsible for any taxes we are required to collect or that you are required to pay in connection with your Subscription.
10. Price Changes
We may change Subscription prices. If a price change affects your existing Subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice before the new price takes effect — at minimum before the renewal at which it would first apply, and as otherwise required by law. Continuing your Subscription after the new price takes effect authorizes the new amount. If you do not agree to a price change, cancel before it takes effect.
11. Trials, Coupons, and Promotions
Pattern Pony may provide coupon or promotion codes directly or as part of a promotion. A code may provide a free or discounted introductory period, such as the first stated number of months, subject to the exact eligibility, duration, billing-option, redemption, and conversion terms displayed when the code is offered or redeemed. Unless stated otherwise, a promotion applies once per Account, has no cash value, cannot be combined with other offers, and converts to the standard recurring price at the end of the promotional period. We may modify or end promotions at any time, subject to applicable law and to honoring terms already applied to a Subscription.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice as appropriate or required by law. Continued use of your Subscription after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
